The FGS Spring Showcase landed last night and, if there was a theme, it was definitely unsettling. Creepy cults, never-ending bicycle rides (the stuff of nightmares) and enough spooky vibes to keep scaredy-cats like myself firmly behind the sofa (I’m looking at you Remothered: Red Nun Legacy and Cordura). As always, the FGS team absolutely smashed the showcase and post-show with stacks of new trailers. I’ve picked out my six favourites and also showed off some recent game launches for you give a go.

If any of the games below catch your eye and you want a deeper dive, be sure to follow us on TikTok, Instagram or on YouTube where we post new content every week!

See you in a fortnight,

Sophie & Co.

P.S. In our last newsletter we asked you to vote for your favourite Next Fest demo, and 60% of you chose Denshattack. To celebrate, we’ll be giving away two keys to readers who voted for it in the poll!

CALX

This slick movement-based hack-n-slash is definitely on our list of top games in 2026. Visually it looks like stepping into the 3D world of Hyper Light Drifter, with beautiful and bold colours surrounding you as you explore this alien planet.

DEEP DISH DUNGEON

If an unprepared and mildly dangerous romp through dungeons with friends, caverns of cheese, precarious pathing and mystery aplenty sounds up your street then this is a must try. Just be careful of any jumpscare-skeletons..

ANARCHY ROAD

Expect pedal-to-the-metal madness in this vehicular combat roguelike. High stakes combat, a time limit and the nagging question “Do I have enough rockets strapped to my car?” are the fundamentals of this game.
