Springing Forward, March Highlights, and a Weekend Games Announcement
Springing Forward, March Highlights, and a Weekend Games Announcement
We're hitting our flow state with our new game announcement, and have some killer indies that you may have missed waiting for you in this latest update.
We hope this edition of our little old newsletter finds you well, as we prepare to have our circadian rhythms ruined as we jump forward an hour this weekend in the UK. With that lost hour, we’re going to be making sure we get the most out of some of the awesome games below.
In case you missed it, we announced at the start of this month a new Weekend Games-published title, Echobreaker! If you like the idea of an 80s-inspired post-neon isometric speedrunning game where you enter the flow state and climb leaderboards, make your way over to the Steam page and drop us a wishlist!
March has served us some banging titles like an incremental scratch card game, a match-3 Greek god adventure, and a highly-anticipated sequel to an indie treasure - read on for more! If you want a deeper dive on some of these games, and more indie games videos, be sure to follow us on TikTok, Instagram or on YouTube where we post new videos every week.
Have a lovely weekend all 😊

BEST OF MARCH
We’re bringing you some of our top picks from the month just gone, we guarantee you’re in for a good time with any of these⏱️
MYTHMATCH
Mythmatch, an anti-capitalist merge game, sees you playing as Artemis, trying to challenge the gods in a top-down open world. Believe us when we say this game will hook you in like no other!
THE RATLINE
Hunt Nazi fugutives in The Ratline, from the developers of Riley & Rochelle. When Lucas Pope is in love with the puzzles, you know there’s something special there. If you loved the Rootrees are Dead, this’ll be a must-play for you!
BUBBLEGUM GALAXY
Whoops, you’ve deleted the galaxy. Talk about a rough Monday! Lay tiles as you take on the relaxing task of rebuilding planets and a whole galaxy, whilst navigating chill office dynamics.
PLANET OF LANA II
The first Planet of Lana was one of our favourite titles of 2023 and it’s sequel is every bit as special. The art is still gorgeous, the world sucks you in like it did before, and the puzzles are delicately intuitive.
CUPICLAW
Remember claw machines? Well, take that and mix in a huge old fistful of roguelite goodness and you get Cupiclaw. Build huge combos, synergies, and the ultimate machine in a quest to claw back your relationship.
SCRITCHY SCRATCHY
Do you too love to see numbers go up? In this incremental game you’ll be buying stacks of scratch cards and chasing massive jackpots (unlocking skills and combos to help you do it more effectively).
At the start of March we announced Echobreaker, a new title from team at Upstream Arcade. The first time I saw the leaderboards at the end of the 1st level, I knew I was in trouble. The promise of us being able to work on a killer speedrunning title that’s dripping in style was too much for us to resist (can you tell we might’ve played a bit of Neon White in the past?).
WHAT’S COMING UP?
April is fast approaching, we’ve taken a look at a few games that you might (read: definitely) want to put on your radar and your wishlist.
NIPPETS
Friends of the team are launching an adorable hidden object game that really captures the joy of people watching. Plus, I cameo in it as a lad who’s lost his sausage, help me find it when the game launches in a couple of weeks!
MOUSE P.I. FOR HIRE
This game grabbed attention when it was announced with a simple tech video, and since then it’s built quite a following. It promises amazing 20s cartoon visuals and great boomer shooter action!
JAY & SILENT BOB: CHRONIC BLUNT PUNCH
We love a good couch co-op game here, and playing through this arcade-style side-scrolling beat-em-up should offer a great excuse to get a pizza ordered and dig into some kick-ass action.
LUNCHBREAK TACTICS
An autobattler might not feel like a weekend game, but with super quick play sessions, characters to unlock, and quick learning curve that throws you right into the fun, Lunchbreak Tactics promises a good time, however long you play for.
